My name is Daniel Kosel and I am a graduate of UNCG. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a concentration in Choral Studies, getting my teaching licensure for K-12. I have a wide variety of musical experiences including jazz bands, contemporary a cappella groups, and Old Time ensembles. I have found that the diversity of these experiences has contributed greatly to my musical foundation. I hope that allowing you to experience the diversity that music has to offer will instill the same passion and respect for varying musics as it has for me.

Daniel Kosel- Chorus Director

Successful music education has been a goal I’ve been working to achieve since I was first interested in band in Middle School. As a music educator, I’ve developed a philosophy for teaching where all of my students’ cultures and backgrounds are taken into account and affect how the class goes about learning. I also create a classroom where students strive to work for the betterment of their communities, both local and global, and never feel ostracized due to their background. Overall, I truly wish to teach topics and concepts that allow students to be more understanding of global cultures and to be able to take the lessons I teach in my classroom and apply them to many different parts of their life. The music learned in my classroom will make students better global citizens.
